We’re Yohko and Martin, the people behind MONO TRAVEL.

We help travelers explore Japan through architecture, design and the everyday life of its neighborhoods. Martin runs his own architecture practice in Berlin and has also studied and worked in Japan.
Yohko grew up there and has worked with designers and architects. Together, we combine an eye for spaces with an understanding of local life, language and culture. Our guides and personal travel advice bring these perspectives together.
We work in German, English and Japanese, offering language support to help you understand local information, make inquiries and feel more at ease when planning your trip.
